Job Summary
A client of Ryzen Solutions is seeking a skilled Technical Writer for their line of electronic signage products in Colorado Springs, CO. This role is for a local candidate and requires someone who can translate complex technical information about digital signage hardware and software into clear, accessible documentation for a variety of users, including installers, end-users, and service technicians.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation Creation: Develop, write, and maintain a range of technical documents, including installation manuals, user guides for software, maintenance guides, and product specifications.
Content Collaboration: Collaborate with hardware engineers, software developers, and support teams to gather technical details and translate jargon into understandable content.
Visual Aid Integration: Create and integrate visual aids, such as wiring diagrams and schematics, to enhance documentation.
Compliance & Maintenance: Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards and safety regulations (e.g., UL, CE, FCC) and maintain version control for all documents.
Required Qualifications: Experience: 2+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a manufacturing or electronics environment.
Technical Skills:
Experience documenting both hardware and software products.
Proficiency with tools like Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Microsoft Word, and FrameMaker.
The ability to work with diagrams, schematics, and basic electrical terminology.
Familiarity with embedded systems or digital display technology is a strong plus.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, English, or a related field is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits Compensation: The salary for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 annually, with performance-based bonuses.
