This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both on site and remote.

DESCRIPTION

Seeking a Senior Integration Engineer provides expert knowledge in analyzing, designing, developing and maintaining HL7 and electronic document management interfaces in a healthcare environment. This position will serve as a technical resource for the Corepoint Interface Engine: coordinating with internal and external IS resources, hospital end-users, and application vendors in support of the development and implementation of integration efforts between Epic Applications, Hyland OnBase, other interface engines, and third-party applications. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with technical and functional team members to translate user requirements into working interfaces. Work under little supervision on multiple concurrent projects, while providing 24/7 support and maintenance of our Corepoint interfaces.

Under general direction, formulates/defines system scope and objectives for systems integration. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents those programs. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities. May be responsible for multiple phases of one or more projects. May provide guidance and training to less experienced analysts/programmers.

Technical The Senior Integration Analyst will need an understanding of the Epic EMR application and be able to work closely with the project teams, application analysts to translate business needs into EDI functionality. Incumbent will analyze/design/maintain HL7 interfaces, Electronic Document Epic data sets, and their master files. Integration Analyst will provide system analysis, design proposals, programming and maintenance for application systems. Incumbent will provide leadership in managing and supporting systems and associated resources.

Incumbent will understand IT infrastructure that exists to be able to work within it with tools provided. Incumbent will be able to use all tools related to connecting to UNIX, Windows, cache systems. Incumbent will manage and conduct analysis of existing systems to determine how best to integrate data into EPIC and Hyland OnBase via interfaces, file loads, batch processes, and more. Incumbent will manage the work within Corepoint, Hyland OnBase Integrations, and Epic Bridges to support all environments. Incumbent will be responsible for reviewing Corepoint and EPIC software releases and updates to determine features desired and then implement them within this health care facility.

Project Management The Senior Integration Engineer is responsible for their own project plans in conjunction with the operational project managers to ensure timely and reliable product delivery. Specific duties include but are not limited to developing and maintaining project plans, directing work to other informatics', creating status reports, facilitating decisions, identifying and mitigating risks, collecting and interpreting data from various sources, presenting measure and program results to clinical and operations executives, and managing evolving technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities: Plans, implements and supports software, hardware, operating systems and / or distributed information systems of moderate scope and complexity. Contributes to estimates of resource needs and scheduling of system upgrades and modifications. Works on complex initiatives to analyze integration needs from various departments, and to develop and define information technology solutions for improved system integration and functionality. Applies innovation in management of complex scenarios. Collaborates with key clinical, technical, and management users on complex projects.

Plans and develops improvements in functionality and efficiency of interfaces with the broader interface team. Liaison between vendors and IT leadership. Contributes to the development of new projects at all levels of scope and complexity. Performs systems analysis, planning and preparation, coding, testing, implementation and client/vendor coordination. Troubleshoots escalated issues of moderate complexity and scope with software, hardware, operating systems and/or distributed information systems. Provides mentor ship to junior team members as part of the broader interface team.

Identifies and coordinates service and support as needed between clinical applications, IT, networks, departments and outside vendors. Proposes new solutions in regards to work flows, processes, system designs or developments as needed. Participates in development of complete, concise and comprehensive policies and operation procedures to assist in communicating issues to management staff. Realigns based upon business and clinical needs. Looks to new opportunities to address customer service challenges. Documents issues and develops/communicates plans to address. Estimates project time requirements, addresses gaps, and participates in feasibility assessments. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Nine (9) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus five (5) years of related experience/training. Related experience: Direct experience with Corepoint and Epic interfaces.

  • Advanced knowledge of systems integration and deploying moderately complex systems integration solutions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced Professional experience and proven success performing systems integration and deploying complex systems integration solutions.

  • Certified in Epic Bridges, Epic Data Courier, Epic CareEverywhere.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $101,200 - $192,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $48.47 - $92.05

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
