The Opportunity: Quality Assurance Supervisor
As a Quality Assurance Supervisor, you'll play a critical role in shaping the quality of our client's offerings. This full-time, manager-level position reports directly to the Director of Manufacturing and offers an annual compensation of $75,000 – $85,000, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Championing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001, UL, and customer-specific requirements.
Leading UL certifications (e.g., UL 94, UL 508A) for components and finished products.
Preparing for and executing internal and external audits (ISO, UL, and customer audits).
Overseeing quality inspections for PCBs, electronic assemblies, and precision sheet metal parts.
Managing quality documentation, including control plans, work instructions, and compliance records.
Leading investigations into non-conformances, performing root cause analysis, and implementing CAPA solutions.
Tracking, analyzing, and reporting key quality metrics such as yield, defect rates, and customer returns.
Mentoring and coaching a dynamic QA team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
A degree in Quality Management or a related technical field.
5+ years of QA/QC experience in electronics manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Expert-level knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
Hands-on experience with UL certifications (UL 94 flammability, UL 508A control panels).
Deep knowledge of IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600) and familiarity with RoHS compliance.
Proficiency in root cause analysis.
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
Experience with inspection of precision sheet metal components and assemblies.
Knowledge of DMT/DFR processes and RMA processing.
Bonus Points for:
CQA certification (Certified Quality Auditor).
Proficiency with ERP and QMS software.
Experience in high-reliability electronics.
