The Opportunity: Senior Buyer
As a Senior Buyer, you'll be a vital part of our client's manufacturing operations, ensuring the timely procurement of high-quality materials and equipment. This full-time position offers a salary of $55,000 – $60,000 annually, depending on experience. You'll play a key role in managing the procurement process, building strong supplier relationships, and ensuring production lines run smoothly.
Here's what you'll be doing:
Supplier Management: Advising teams on the best suppliers, negotiating contracts, and nurturing relationships to maintain competitive costs and high quality.
Procurement Excellence: Managing the entire procurement lifecycle, from purchase intent to delivery, ensuring materials arrive on time and meet quality standards.
Cost Control: Skillfully negotiating pricing to secure the best deals without compromising on quality or timeliness.
Inventory Management: Closely monitoring inventory levels to ensure the right parts and materials are always available when needed.
Documentation & Compliance: Ensuring all orders, contracts, and shipments are accurately tracked, documented, and compliant with company and government regulations.
Supplier Performance: Continuously evaluating supplier performance and implementing strategies for ongoing improvement and reliability.
Problem-Solving: Utilizing your expertise to tackle complex challenges and ensure smooth, efficient supply chain operations.
What you'll bring to the table:
Experience: You'll have 8+ years of experience as a buyer in a manufacturing environment. (Bonus points if you have experience with inventory management or procurement in a production setting.)
Negotiation Skills: You're a natural at striking deals and securing the best prices while upholding quality standards.
Tech-Savvy: You're proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and purchase order software for tracking, reporting, and analysis.
Communication Skills: You excel at building relationships, understanding needs, and delivering clear, actionable information to both suppliers and team members.
Detail-Oriented: Your exceptional organizational skills mean nothing gets missed.
Problem Solver: You're quick-thinking and always ready to find creative solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
