Job Description

Test Engineer will:

  • Primary focus is to conduct advanced and complex client requested package or product specific testing. Testing standards defined by ISTA and ASTM standards, customer requirements and Quality Management System. 
  • Completes more complex testing that requires the use of knowledge and experience involving packaging principles. Able to derive, interpret, and communicate in-depth data analysis and evaluation.
  • Subject matter expert that is expected to advise, training and support all of from a knowledge base capability. Support technical marketing with white papers,
  • Accurately interpret and analyze requested testing to determine the optimal set up parameters, placement of required sensors and other equipment, and any special customer required data entry including customer contact records
  • Ensure order accuracy and quality through document control, QMS requirements, and auditing
  • Provide a high level of customer service for onsite testing support. Partner with customers as the “host” for onsite product/package testing needs.
  • Investigate and provide solutions to project manages various implementations into new specifications, protocols, tooling, or fixture development.
  • Provide and lead training for new implementation or changes.
  • Establish and maintain 5S and various site standards and expectations.
  • Maintain responsive customer communication regarding testing services provided. Update customer on test status, updates, results explanation and consultation for improvements and recommendations.
  • Support Internal customers departments like Engineering Services with customer support or technical expertise.
  • Provide TEI, TEII, technicians and associate engineers with knowledge guidance and operations support.

 Requirements for Eligibility

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering, Packaging or Packaging emphasis, or equivalent technical education degree.
  • 5+ years of working laboratory experience in conducting product/packaging testing is preferred.
  • Experience in package or product testing or related industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as protocols, industry specifications and procedures.
  • Strong understating of packaging principles and components and testing requirements.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and general computer literacy.
  • Advanced Math, Analytical and Statistical analysis skills.
