Job Description
· Works in a cutting-edge semiconductor equipment lab, in R&D mode, helping advance new product development.
· Provides engineering and project management support to the company’s labs including diagnosing, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades and repair of complex and brand new semiconductor manufacturing equipment and systems.
· Serves as an internal liaison either with business units on how the company’s tools work together or with the R&D Lab, Process Development and Hardware Engineering departments in supporting R&D activities and customer demos.
· Installs and supports prototype assemblies and equipment in support of design and R&D activities on semiconductor equipment; analyzes results, summarizes and presents data.
· Assists process engineering with troubleshooting film properties including particles, thickness and uniformity issues. Proposes long-term solutions and continuous improvement to engineering.
· Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy equipment malfunctions.
· This job may include some aspect of field support as needed
· Maintains general safety, clean-room and semiconductor equipment maintenance and wafer management.
· Coordinates facilities needs on equipment, hazardous materials delivery and parts inventory.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is very “hands-on” with the ability to summarize and present results clearly to improve product performance.
Experience with Semiconductor equipment is ideal, especially in deposition, ash, etch, metrology and peripheral equipment.

Education
This position requires a minimum of an associate degree in a technical field OR equivalent related work experience. A BS degree in a technical field preferred.
