Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with experience in engineering product development processes and best practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of CAD and PLM systems, with the ability to enable process efficiencies, automation, and standardization. This individual will approach projects with an internal customer mindset, coordinating cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and deliver results on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of CAD and PLM systems, with the ability to enable process efficiencies, automation, and standardization. This individual will approach projects with an internal customer mindset, coordinating cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and deliver results on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive continuous improvement across all aspects of the engineering development and release process, from communication tools to core engineering practices.
- Develop and apply evaluation methods to assess process strengths, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment of requirements, functionality, and process objectives with all stakeholders.
- Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation and training materials.
- Deliver clear and engaging training sessions to enable adoption of new tools and processes.
- Present project plans and process improvement proposals to senior management, secure buy-in, and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams (CFTs) composed of diverse roles and technical backgrounds.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven ability to analyze data, derive actionable insights, and visualize results effectively.
- Strong hands-on understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) principles, processes, and methodologies.
- Advanced Excel skills required; proficiency in VBA, SQL, JMP, Qlik, Access, QuickBase, SAP, Matlab, or other programming tools is a plus.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Skilled in influencing, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Working knowledge of PLM and ERP systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Experience
- Background in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience creating on-model annotations for sheet metal, machined parts, weldments, and large assemblies (supporting Model-Based Definition).
- Proficiency in Siemens NX (version 10 or newer) with 5+ years of modeling experience.
- Familiarity with Product Configuration Engineering, Intel Copy Exactly!, Field Service, Logistics, or Spares Management.
