Financial Analyst, FP&A
Job Description
We are seeking to recruit a Financial Analyst who will be part of the Corporate Finance team and handle Financial Planning and Analysis, focusing on pricing excellence. The Financial Analyst will report directly to the Finance Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Evaluate product quality, product cost, competitor pricing and customer reviews to create appropriate market prices for products.
· Responsible for analyzing competitor pricing matched with market expectations to determine the ideal target price for products of the business.
· Scope out opportunities based on market trends and industry condition.
· Participate, perform and manage all aspects of sales and volumes planning, budgeting and forecasting.
· Gather, document, analyze, and draw conclusions and recommendations based on complex data and information after considering alternatives through independent research and analysis.
· Address issues and concerns raised by team members relating to pricing suggestions.
· Develop and implement critical reports to monitor Sales KPIs i.e., Customer and Product Sales trends, Rebates, Discounts, Account Profitability
· Responsible for maintaining the Sales Opportunities Pipelines & identify ideal pricing structures and sales funnels.
· Work directly with Sales Reps on new Sales opportunities and data gathering for the bidding process and to define pricing structures for company products.
· Assist with ad hoc requests on data pulls, presentation prep, PowerPoint slides, charts, data visualizations, create reports reflecting metrics and project status, objectives, and barriers.
· Motivated self-starter willing to master multiple data platforms from online videos or tutorials
· Handle multiple priorities as assigned and deliver in a timely and accurate manner
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or related field
· 3+ years of experience in the field of data analysis creating, querying, and/or maintaining reports, graphs, and complex databases
· Strong knowledge about the industry including competitors and market trends
· Keen eye for identifying opportunity
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good negotiations and problem-solving skills
· Effective reporting and presentation skills
· Experience driving business performance in a high growth environment
· Experience anticipating accounting, financial reporting, and forecasting, assessing their implications and developing and implementing an appropriate action plan
· Experience working collaboratively and influence across a matrix environment to drive revenue enhancement initiatives
· Ability to think and work with moderate supervision. Must have a general knowledge of financial and quantitative analysis techniques and microcomputers. Good communication skills
· Experience managing multiple projects and assignments concurrently, monitoring and reporting project status, and coordinating activities to ensure timely delivery
· Experience gathering and analyzing large volumes of raw data information from multiple sources to create and deliver presentations to management
· Expertise in using MS Excel & Access
· SQL experience preferred
