The Business Intelligence Specialist 3 - Epic Report Writer applies knowledge of business analytics to address problems related to operational efficiencies and tactical planning for Perioperative and Procedural Services. Works closely with administrative and clinical staff and leaders to understand business needs to prepare accurate, thorough, insightful, and timely analysis and reporting in a fast-paced environment. The Business Intelligence Specialist 3 - Epic Report Writer is responsible for producing reports in Reporting Workbench, Radar, Clarity, and Tableau.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Six (6) years of related healthcare analytics experience, education/training; OR a Bachelor’s Degree in related area plus two (2) years of related healthcare analytics experience 
• EPIC Clarity Data Model certification
• Proven ability to leverage knowledge of data needs, data sources, and data solution technologies to provide clients with accurate, timely, and insightful analytical reports and presentations
• Strong critical thinking skills with ability to interpret complex information and deliver insightful analysis 
• Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and data modeling
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with managers, professional and technical staff 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce presentations to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner 
• Ability to work in fast paced environment while managing multiple priorities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Two (2+) or more years of relevant business analytics experience including working with data software (SQL Management Studio, Crystal Reports, Tableau, EPIC OpTime, Oracle or other)
• EPIC OpTime experience
• Experience in a large, complex healthcare environment.
