Business Unit DescriptionThe PCB fabrication business operates out of facilities in the United States (San Jose and Costa Mesa), Singapore, and Wuxi, China. It provides a wide range of complex printed circuit boards for leading global manufacturers across diverse market sectors including Aerospace & Defense, AI & Data Centers, Automotive, and Industrial.We are seeking a seasoned Commodity Manager with a strong techno-commercial foundation to lead the PCB raw materials supply chain. The ideal candidate will deliver sustainable financial performance through robust sourcing strategies, strategic supplier partnerships, and strong operational execution.ResponsibilitiesThis role works closely with Supply Chain and Operations leadership to drive strong business results through innovative supply chain solutions, strategic supplier engagement, and a clear understanding of technology roadmaps and commercial priorities.Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a global scope spanning PCB manufacturing facilities in Asia and North America.
  • Define and develop sourcing strategies for PCB raw materials (laminates, prepregs, copper foils) and manufacturing supplies (chemicals, inks, drills).
  • Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with strategic suppliers aligned to business needs and technology direction.
  • Assess capability gaps in the current supply chain and identify or develop new suppliers to strengthen the ecosystem.
  • Own supplier selection, pricing, negotiations, and business awards throughout RFQ, NPI, and mass-production phases for both new and existing customers.
  • Collaborate closely with quoting and operations teams to provide guidance and ensure alignment.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with key agreements (NDA, PA, VMI, etc.).
  • Conduct regular business reviews with strategic suppliers to strengthen engagement, improve cost competitiveness, and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Develop and share procurement intelligence on market conditions, supply trends, and pricing for PCB materials and manufacturing supplies.
  • Support internal teams in resolving supplier-related escalations based on urgency and severity.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to operate both strategically and tactically.
  • Utilize strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) to support sourcing activities.
Professional Experience & Qualities
  • Experience in EMS, ODM, and/or Tier-1 PCB manufacturing environments in North America and/or Europe, with exposure to Silicon, Industrial, Defense & Aerospace, Automotive, and Telecommunications sectors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; multilingual capabilities are a plus.
  • Ability to think strategically while executing effectively in day-to-day tactical scenarios and escalations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Education & Industry Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or Electronics Engineering (required).
  • 15–20 years of experience in commodity management for PCB and/or PCB raw materials at a regional or global level.
  • Strong knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Customer-facing experience is an advantage.
