Community Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a passionate and driven Community Engagement Specialist to join our team. The Community Engagement Specialist will be responsible for building and nurturing vibrant communities of riders, neighbors, and advocates to support the company's mission and promote positive engagement in supporting autonomous vehicle deployment. This role will be instrumental in building and maintaining positive relationships between the company and the communities in which we operate. 

In this role, you will:

• Develop and execute community engagement strategies to foster open communication and build trust with local residents, businesses, and organizations.

• Monitor and analyze community engagement metrics, including user feedback and event participation. Use data insights to inform strategy and optimize community-building efforts.

• Develop educational materials and presentations to increase awareness and understanding of autonomous vehicle technology, safety protocols, and benefits to the community.

• Plan and coordinate community events, workshops, and information sessions to engage with residents and gather input on the company's initiatives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, product, and legal, to align community initiatives with company goals and priorities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, urban planning, or related field. 

- 2+ years of experience in community engagement, public relations, or a related field, preferably in the technology or transportation industry.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and build consensus.

- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive results.

- Passion for sustainable transportation and making a positive impact on communities.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making.

- Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Knowledge of local government processes, community dynamics, and transportation policy is a plus.
