We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to join our Vehicle Integration - Central Test team. As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating test execution timelines and budgets, specifically focusing on hardware test and validation for components and subsystems executed by the Hardware Test Engineering team (Central Test). Reporting to the Manager of Test Engineering, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, external test houses, and test facilities suppliers to ensure the successful execution of test programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the Manager of Test Engineering and cross-functional teams to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria for hardware testing programs
- Plan, coordinate, and support execution of hardware testing activities, including environmental, electrical, and EMC tests for components and subsystems
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements in all testing processes and procedures
- Manage relationships with external test providers and test facilities suppliers, coordinating outsourced testing activities and ensuring timely and accurate completion of tests
- Coordinate test facilities availability and scheduling, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and minimizing downtime. Additionally, Demonstrate a strong understanding of project priorities and effectively allocate and support the assignment of work requests
- Support and coordinate preventive maintenance activities & calibration for test equipment and facilities, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
- Serve as a Lab Coordinator, enforcing proper processes and standards for lab usage and item storage. Optimize lab space utilization and ensure the lab environment is conducive to productive and safe work
- Regularly communicate and report on the progress, status, and issues related to hardware testing programs to stakeholders and management
- Drive continuous improvement in hardware testing processes and methodologies, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement test automation strategies and tools to improve efficiency and scalability
- Collaborate with the Manager of Test Engineering to ensure clear documentation and traceability of test plans, test procedures, and test results, following established guidelines and standards
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in hardware testing technologies, methodologies, and industry practices
- Collaborate with the Facilities Team to develop new Test facilities & Test labs for the team growth
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- Proven experience (5 years) in technical program management, specifically managing timeline and budget in hardware testing for components and subsystems
- Understanding of environmental, electrical, and EMC testing methodologies, tools, and industry standards
- Experience in coordinating and managing outsourced testing activities, working with external suppliers and test facilities
- Excellent program management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery
- Strong technical background and understanding of hardware testing processes, including test planning, test execution, and issue resolution
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and external partners
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (Jira/Confluence/Microsoft Project)
- Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on quality and accuracy in testing activities and deliverables
- Ability to analyze complex problems, propose innovative solutions, and make data-driven decisions
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to hardware testing
- Familiarity with test equipment and facilities used in hardware testing
- Proactive attitude, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
