This company is growing! We’re looking for a Thermomechanical  Process Development Engineer II to join our Fremont, CA Team 

As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will: 

  • As part of multifunctional team will be responsible for all aspect of Thermomechanical process development – from development, optimization to validation and transfer to production.  
  • Design tooling and develop robust processes such as shape setting, honing, and grinding to meet customer dimensional and functional requirements.  
  • Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of Nitinol surface processing.  
  • Work in collaboration with operators, technicians, and other engineers to deliver devices that meet customer requirements.  
  • Coordinate with production team for training and manufacturing of devices.  
  • Document process development activities in technical memorandum and other process-related documents.  
  • Interact with other groups responsible for other aspects of Nitinol device manufacturing and testing.  
  • May technically supervise or coordinate the work of draftspersons, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments 

Education and Experience:   

  • Bachelor degree (BA or BS) in Engineering with two (2) to five (5) years of related engineering experience.  
  • BA or BS in non-engineering technical field with five (5) to ten (10) years related experience in medical devices.  
  • Experience with Solidworks as well as fixture development for production.  
  • Capable of performing under the pressure of multiple competing deadlines while maintaining a cooperative and constructive working relationship with colleagues. This includes brain storming for new methods or FMEA or DOE or testing and analysis of specific steps in the procedure.  
  • Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently in a highly technical environment.  
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
