Software Engineer, Diagnostics 
The Diagnostics Software Engineer plays a critical role in enabling multiple cross functional R&D teams to interact with and test the company’s Robotics System. We are looking for best in class C++  and Python software engineers to help us build a framework and suite of applications used by development teams in R&D, Manufacturing, Verification and Service. As a Diagnostics engineer, you’ll be part of an agile software team where your contributions will have a direct impact on the development, quality and reliability of the company product.  
This individual will be working alongside team members that are changing the face of health care. We are excited to have SW Engineers from outside the med-tech space, bringing new approaches, previous experiences and a fresh outlook to solve some of the most amazing challenges that the med-tech industry has seen. 
Key Responsibilities:                                                    

  • Implement an infrastructure which supports a software test and diagnostics platform for a complex medical robotics system.  
  • Design and implement solutions to support the entire product life cycle from product development, test, system verification to diagnostics and service applications.  
  • Work as a cross functional team member, analyzing hardware and software designs to identify enhancements and new features for the framework and diagnostic applications we develop. 

Required Experiences and Qualifications:  

  • BS/BA/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields  
  • Proficiency in OO development  
  • Preferably in C++ or Python  
  • Experience developing on Unix is a must  
  • Solid debugging ability and troubleshooting skills  
  • Preferred experience programming to network client/server protocols   
  • Preferred experience working with multi-threaded applications  
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in similar role(s)
