Looking for a hands-on Staff Data Scientist to lead data analytics initiative across the company.  The Staff Data Scientist will be directly responsible for designing predictive analytic solutions for the Tablo device and components.  The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in predictive modeling while enabling a customer experience and business growth.

-Design and develop real-time and non-real time models for machine and component failure prediction to control the patient experience and improve cost efficiency of field support operations.

-Maintain a strong personal base of knowledge involving machine learning, predictive analytics, medical industry practices, trends and issues.

-Work with business partners to develop appropriate visualization and provide effective and impactful information to the organization.

-Play a major role in the direction and strategy of the company's data analytic roadmap adding critical value to the organization.

-Research, invent and enable new quantitative techniques and technologies that enable innovative solutions for better provider care, patient care and cost efficiency.

-Collaborate data platform software developers to develop data platform, which leverage data, tools and data quality best practices for the optimal business outcome, adoption of data and critical decision making within the company.

-Anticipate new trends and customer needs and find new and innovative ways to solve complex challenges as the team implements its internal and external data analytics initiatives.

-Lead cross-function teams on projects and partner with business owners to identifying business challenges and deliver appropriate data analytic solutions.

-Ensure proper policies and procedures are in place.

-Influence technology decisions as a member of our engineering leadership team.

Our Criteria

-Minimum 8+ years of experience in developing data analytic solutions using machine learning models for medical industry.

-M.S. or Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Operations Research is required.

-Experience with statistical modeling techniques like logistic regression, decision tree, neural network or other pattern recognition, machine learning statistical/mathematical modeling algorithms or techniques is required.

-Ability to examine data and detect possible problems; create and test hypotheses about causes and cures.

-Hands-on experience with Big Data development using Python, SciKit-learn, and Spark streaming analytic.

-Experience using visualization tools like QlikView, D3.js and AWS tools like Athena.

-Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with people at all levels of the company; build morale and team spirit among team members.

-Communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing with persons having diverse backgrounds of knowledge and experience; conduct meetings and make professional presentations; teach complex concepts and explain technical material to non-technical users.

-Conceive and initiate projects; improvise and invent solutions in new, non-standard and unstructured situations.

-Works well through ambiguity; confidence in making tough calls and leading through adversity with a sharp focus on the eventual right outcomes.

-Medical device experience is a plus.

-Must have proven portfolio of successful projects in above mentioned areas.
