Position Overview  

Seeking a creative, self starter with strong Technical Writer skills to develop technical documentation strategy and content for our novel dialysis machine and supporting products. This person will partner closely with R&D, Marketing, and Regulatory to translate our unique value proposition in a way that resonates with both patients and health care professionals alike. 

Essential Job Functions 

  • Creates, develops, plans, writes and edits operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia, web-based publications and user sites; may also produce content for in context help. 
  • Conducts interviews with various users and technical staff to gather data for documentation. 
  • Researches and translates technical information into user manuals. 
  • Drives towards deadlines while proactively addressing and removing barriers 
  • Engages with internal and external customers to ensure content is accurate 
  • Analyzes design and delivery methods to ensure content is engaging and accessible 
  • Manage multiple projects with tight deadlines 
  • Convert user manual and supporting products instructions for use (IFUs) to a more sustainable platform 
  • Drive content generation for user manuals and supporting products IFUs  
  • Support labeling changes and regulatory submissions to FDA, European Notified Body and etc. 
  • Evolve user manual implementation to accommodate multiple SKUs 
  • Create and maintain field service manuals 
  • Support graphic design interface refinements 
  • Create ECO/DCO for user manual, IFU and product labels 
  • Ensure adherence to Company Quality policy 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 
      

Requirements/Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of medical device technical writing experience 
  • Strong attention to detail and double checks their work to ensure quality of work 
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office, Adobe Professional  
  • Superb written communication skills in English 
  • Desktop publishing program expert user (FrameMaker, Illustrator and etc.) 
  • Experience creating customer-focused user manuals / IFUs 
  • Able to complete a large volume of work quickly and independently 
  • Able to translate complex technical ideas into easy concepts for any user to understand 
  • Tech savvy with penchant for early technology adoption 
  • Experience working collaboratively and proactively in a diverse team environment 
  • Excellent problem solving skills, sound business judgment, strategic and analytical capabilities
