Manage content

  • Lead creation of digital experiences, including UX flows and visual interfaces on wearables and mobile (iOS and Android)  that are equally simple, effective, innovative and delightful.

  • Lead multidisciplinary team of designers to brainstorm, prototype, test and execute on ideas

  • Balance resources, according to creative and business requirements

  • Promote best creative practices and encourage testing new methods and tools to create, prototype and evaluate innovative ideas

  • Encourage most creative solutions that meet or exceed strategic objectives

  • Conduct or assist user research planning, recruiting and insights gathering

  • Synthesize research insights into actionable ideas

  • Drive documentation and communication to work with our global product development team

 

Team Development (the Product Design team)

  • Lead with a vision and a relentless passion for excellence to the smallest of details

  • Recruit, inspire and mentor a small team of experience and visual designers

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with engineers, designers, marketers of the group

  • Provide and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise the bar for quality

  • Encourage a culture of curiosity, tenacity, respect and optimism

  • Promote collaboration and constructive critique

 

Your Skills

 

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Design, Visual Communications or equivalent degree

  • 7+ years relevant experience in the field of mobile and consumer products design, backed by a solid portfolio

  • 2+ years leading teams, preferably in the consumer devices industry

  • Experience and passion in the field of Consumer Electronics and mobile app development (iOS and Android)

  • Mastery of navigating and balancing a design vision with technical constraints and marketing dynamics

  • Expertise in user-centered design methods

  • Experience driving continuous improvement through product testing, user research, and prototyping

  • Ability to visualize, verbalize and promote a design vision to a diverse audience of engineers, designers, marketers and executives

  • Fluency in Adobe creative suite, Sketch, Flinto and/or InVision

  • Experience working with a design firm or consultancy highly preferred

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (approx 15%)
