Job Duties

  • Increase bookings by 15% within one year by closing ongoing opportunities with OEM customers.
  • Develop 5 new opportunities over $200K each within one year by proactively pursing new business with existing customers and identifying new customers through cold-calling and following up on qualified leads.
  • Develop quarterly assigned account plans to drive your sales activities within the first 3 months. Review and improve the plan’s effectiveness each quarter.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic relationship with all identified “key” opportunities by completing a strategic customer plan.
  • Maximize account penetration by meeting with strategic technology and business decision makers every 6 months.
  • Maximize Hamamatsu profit while maintaining high level of customer loyalty by independently negotiating at least 2 contracts/year.
  • Become proficient with project management tools and communication skills needed to handle complex development programs with key opportunities.
  • Become proficient enough with photonics technology and its applications to assume major account responsilbilty within 6 months.
  • Demonstrate technical strength by passing our photomultiplier tube and photodiode tests by at least 80%.
  • Adhere to the company’s quality policy: Quality, technology and service are part of all products we make, and we commit to keep improving our quality.
  • Special projects as needed.

 

Required Skills

  • 5 years’ technical OEM sales experience or 2 years’ as an Internal Sales Engineer II or III at Hamamatsu
  • BS in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
  • 3 years’ photonics experience
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to transport yourself to and from appointments
