The company's wireless chipsets and system solutions provide the technology to make wireless personal area networking a reality. Providing radio frequency, baseband, system and complete software support to OEMs and system integrators, Broadcom's wireless chips enable the sharing of data among scores of electronic devices, from mobile phones and wireless stereo headsets to PDAs and automobiles. The company has a contractor opportunity available to support system verification activities for post-silicon chips produced by the Wireless Connectivity group. Specifically, you will provide support in the areas of RF characterization of Bluetooth/FM/GPS systems.  


  • Assist engineers by performing verification/characterization tests in lab, and recording results  
  • Lab equipment setup, bench testing and debug/data collection of Bluetooth/FM/GPS chips to verify and characterize failure modes  
  • Prototype chip/board screening, data collection and logging 


  • Typically requires an Electrical Engineering degree  
  • GPA 3.2 or above  
  • Understanding of RF systems or communication principles  
  • Knowledge of analog or RF design is desirable  
  • Wireless testing experience and Python programming preferred 
  • Electronics debugging experience is a plus  
  • Hands-on experience with bench test instrumentation (SA, NA, oscilloscopes, meters, etc.) is desirable  
  • Must be familiar with PC usage in lab, including MS Office applications such as Excel and Word 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
