PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES may include, but are not limited to:

1) Brainstorm and hands-on prototyping of early concepts.

2) Drive rapid prototyping activities. Select methods to evaluate and test to inform product iterations.

3) Hands-on experience with building the company's Custom Products to understand failure analysis and propose manufacturing improvements.

4) Execute the test protocols and analyze data. Document results in test reports.

5) Work cross-functionally to transfer designs to market release.

6) Leverage onsite clinic to aid in the evaluation of new concepts and product development.

7) Work with vendors to develop parts, custom materials, fixtures, and processes.

8) Maintain compliance with all company policies, applicable regulations, quality systems, and procedures.

9) Execute engineering change order packages, which include drawings, documentation, and supporting data.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering, Product Design, or similar.

* Proficient with Solidworks. Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis.

* Motivated individual with demonstrated experience with design experience and rapid prototyping experience.

* Experience developing test methodologies.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with multiple levels in the organization.

* Proficiency in MS Office, particularly data analysis using Excel.

 

 

NICE TO HAVE:

* Experience working in a FDA regulated environment.

* Experience with fatigue testing, basic machine shop skills, and 3D Printing.

* Proficient in Rhino and Grasshopper

* Proficient in Python programming

* Proficient with FEA Analysis
