Job Description

This position is for a Project Engineer for the Etch Engineering Design and HW development projects. Mechanical Engineer looking to grow in a premier company and to develop in a highly successful and experienced team. We are looking for self-motivated team players with high integrity and strong character. Involves extensive hands on mechanical / design engineering work along with a need to drive projects with teams in India, consisting of 25+ employees.

Job Details: 

  • Creates electromechanical layouts, packaging, fixtures, tooling, and mechanisms. Works with technology development, product engineering, suppliers, manufacturing and quality group to define specifications and complete the full design cycle. Creates documentation and conducts design reviews in support of design efforts. 
  • Collects data, analyzes results, generates reports, and provides recommendations. Contributes as required, in the design, analysis, prototype build, software or process development, evaluation, and complete bottom up product documentation. 
  • Coordinating the needs of the internal customers and translating their needs into program plans Technical owner for all engineering projects assigned 
  • Manage a group of engineers remotely to effectively launch projects with clearly defined scope, requirements, deliverables and timeline. 
  • Projects may include one or a combination of multiple disciplines that include identification and evaluation of concepts for fluid flow, heat transfer, mechanics and vacuum systems, controls and instrumentations. 
  • Carry out design characterization testing, reliability testing and failure analysis as required Leads, and is personally accountable for project commits, deliverables and timelines 
  • Communication and presentation to senior Engineering, Product & Program management personnel 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or other Technical degree 
  • Min. 5 years of demonstrated relevant experience, preferably in Semiconductor industry Equipment Hardware design background, preferably in Semiconductor industry 
  • Proficient in using 3D CAD and analysis tools such as NX in Team Center Engineering environment, Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack up calculations 
  • Prepare cost estimates on parts & assemblies adopting DFx methodologies 
  • Ability to work on projects independently with minimal supervision working with cross functional teams 
  • Ability to mentor and supervise junior personnel 
  • Exposure to Product Life Cycle management methodologies, Change Management & SAP, Skills in Excel, SAP, PLM Systems, BOM Management Systems. 
  • Excellent influence skills to accomplish required tasks in a matrixed environment, without direct line authority 
  • Proficient in use of MS office tools like Power Point, Word and Excel, MS Visio 
  • Experience identifying and reviewing issues, problem solving at expert level, with extensive knowledge and experience in RCCA, 8D, Ishikawa Diagrams, 5 why analysis, Pareto analysis  
  • Ability to communicate succinctly and in-depth in both verbal and written (PowerPoint and 
     email) & ability to influence, interact, and communicate effectively with senior technical executives 
  • Ability to travel internationally occasionally
