Job Summary

We are looking for a strong mechanical engineer to help the company execute on its growing order backlog and ramp to volume. The successful candidate will be passionate about building state of the art manufacturing processes at the company and share our excitement in our ground breaking products for MRI guided Radiation Therapy.

Responsibilities

* Management and engineering support for the global contract manufacturers for the company’s products, including implementation of change orders, deviation requests, non-conformance issues etc

* Engineering support for new product introductions including managing DFM reviews with suppliers, cost analysis and delivering document packages for quotation from CM’s.

* Testing and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems, defect resolution and corrective action.

* Proposes, designs and implements sustaining engineering initiatives to improve product reliability and cost structure

* Drives constant improvement in design and process engineering documentation for the company’s products.

 

Education, Experience, Skills

* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, Master’s degree preferred.

* Strong CAD skills, Solidworks preferred. Knowledge of PLM systems like PTC Windchill is desirable.

* 1+ years experience in mechanical engineering of formally released products with strong preference for large capital equipment such as medical devices, semi-conductor, instrumentation etc.

* Experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, casting, pcb manufacture, electromechanical final assembly and functional test.

* Familiarity with reliability engineering and design for manufacturing and serviceability

* Working level competence in a rigorous implementation of ISO 9001, with ISO 13485 preferred.

* Excellent communication and program management skills.

* Possess dynamic, proactive, ambitious, “can do” attitude, strength of character, tenacity and credibility and able to create and respect strong working relationships with all levels of the organization.

* Previous interest or experience in relevant methodologies such as Radiation Therapy and MRI is useful but not essential.
