Essential Functions: 

  • Trade-show Management 
  • Establish the annual Ultrasound trade-show plan and budget.  
  • Work with Marketing Managers and Trade-show Manager to: 
  • Ensure strong brand presence and consistency in trade-shows and major meetings. 
  • Prepare, update, and communicate governance on an annual basis. Plan should include processes and deliverables for “National,” “Regional,” and “Local” meetings. Establish processes as needed to support efficiency with available resources. 
  • Recommend options to reduce costs and optimize presence. In conjunction with Marketing Managers, increase or decrease presence consistent with ROI, attendees, new markets/products, etc. 
  • Work with Marketing Managers to lead timely planning of individual trade-shows, particularly national-level shows. Communicate cross-functionally as required. 
  • Work with key business partners as needed. 
  • Website Management 
  • Work with Marketing Communications Manager – PMLS to maintain/enhance company’s North America website for overall look and content. 
  • Partner with external vendor on the management of Ultrasound content, maintenance and enhancements. 
  • Partner with Marketing Managers in creation of timely, product-specific content, particularly where new product offerings or product extensions become available 
  • Lead and/or work together with internal business partners as needed. 

External Communications: 

  • Lead/support Marketing Managers, and champion the development of a marketing plan for their product categories – including major product launches, significant trade-shows, distributor events, etc. 
  • Support Marketing, Sales, and Corporate, in the creation of sales tools, promotional material, and press releases. Develop the relationships needed to identify opportunities and maximize visibility.  
  • Lead and/or work together with internal business partners as needed. 

Other: 

  • Manage San Jose-based team (2-3 individuals) involved in above activities 
  • Support all Customer Site Visits to Innovation Center and management of Ultrasound Experience Center  
  • Work with San Jose HR and Facilities Manager to add and maintain branding elements in Innovation Center  
  • Rely on Marketing Managers to provide product-specific content to then be leveraged across social media outlets as appropriate 
  • Build a strong alignment/working relationship with both PMLS and US Marketing Teams 
  • Ability to perform as an individual contributor to cross functional project lead depending in organizational need, project type and team members 
  • Perform management responsibilities – budget, performance reviews, etc. 
  • Stay current regarding industry practices in marketing and communications and apply them appropriately. 
  • Assist in other projects as identified by management.

The position requires the ability to work independently and cross functional teams to meet broad business objectives and provide high visibility marketing services. Strong cross-organizational relationships are required 

Position Requirements: 

  • Bachelor degree, preferably in marketing or related discipline 
  • Management experience strongly preferred 
  • Strong working knowledge of marketing and communication practices 
  • Five plus years of relevant marketing experience desired 
  • Experience in ultrasound, medical device or healthcare preferred 
  • Social media experience strongly preferred

  • Strong PC skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
