Summary: 
Leads a team of process/equipment engineers and technicians in a dynamic and challenging high volume semiconductor manufacturing environment. 
 
Position responsibilities include the development, maintenance, improvement, and control of all manufacturing processes and equipment for a high volume 200mm semiconductor manufacturing fab. 
 
This role will lead process area and equipment teams to evaluate and implement creative solutions to; improve process and equipment performance, lower production line induced defects, increase product yields and reliability, control and eliminate process and equipment variability, reduce manufacturing cycle time, and drive competitive product costs. 
 
Job Description:  

  • Oversee and lead team of 100+ engineers and technicians  
  • Develop, modify, and/or continuously improve all production equipment and processes to meet customer product specifications and/or business needs.  
  • Implement best known methods and drive continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma (LSS), Design for Manufacturability (DFM), advanced Statistical Process Control (SPC), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), and advanced Quality Management Systems (QMS).  
  • Work closely with technology development teams to ensure the smooth transfer and successful volume production of new products and technologies. 

Requirements:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering or a closely related field.   
  • A minimum of 10 years in semiconductor fab processing  
  • A minimum of 5 years of directly applicable management experience (leading large teams)  
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and building teams with an emphasis on leadership fundamentals and effective communication.  
  • In-depth knowledge of typical IC semiconductor processes and equipment from multiple key process areas, including: Photolithography, Wet & Dry Etch, Diffusion, Implant, Cleans, Thin Films, and Metals.  
  • Demonstrated experience in generating technical requirements specifications, testing and experimentation, characterizing processes and equipment against required customer specifications, and controlling and maintaining high quality production should be evident. 

Preferred:  

  • Master's degree  
  • A solid working knowledge of device physics and process integration  
  • Lean Six-sigma training or certifications
