Job Summary: 

The Manufacturing Engineer will support development of complex embedded system platform for a Radiology and portable Ultrasound Systems. Evaluates operation processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators. 
Essential Functions: 
Develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods. Candidate works with engineering on the transfer of new technology into operations. Develops operation processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors. Must have competent communication aptitude written and conversely in order to interact with all levels of personnel 
Decision-Making Authority: 
Experience in delegating and implementing equipment solutions to stabilize and scale processes 
Oversee and re-direct processes to maintain optimization of the production line 
Drive Project teams and/ or Suppliers to ensure execution against commitments 
Able to comprehend broad spectrum interdepartmental initiatives  
Position Specifications: 
1. Knowledge/Educational Requirements 
• BSEE/BSME degree or other related technical degree. 
• 1 - 5 years of related experience. 
2. Skills and Abilities 
• Improves efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout. 
• Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes. 
• Provides decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements. 
• Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.  
• Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests. 
• Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations. Experience with ISO and FDA regulations 
• Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service. 
• Maintains product and process data base by writing computer programs; entering data. 
• Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians. 
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. 
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 
• Able to work effectively in a fast paced multi-tasking environment 
• Able to work in an environment where priorities and tasks can change at short notice 
• Individual must be motivated to work independently as well as with teams.  
• He or she must be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately.  
• Must be detail oriented with good written, verbal and organizational skills. PC skills including use of Windows Operating systems and MS office applications are required. 
3. Physical Demands/Work Environment 
• General office environment.  
• Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 30% of the time.  
• There are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.  
• Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.  
• No travel required.
