  • The Indirect Purchasing Manager will provide leadership in the day-to-day purchasing of Indirect products and Services for the facilities in Morgan Hill and Fairfield, CA, and will also have oversight responsibility over Indirect Purchases at Camarillo, CA facility1. Additionally, 
  • Develop and implement strategy for assigned categories, delivering cost and value improvement to company. 
  • Effectively use RFI’s, RFP’s to analyze suppliers’ offerings to the company. 
  • Develop strong understanding of the supply market and the cost drivers associated with it. Analyze and select suppliers which will bring continuous cost and value improvement for the company. 
  • Establish resident expertise in each assigned commodity through understanding of products and services, their underlying cost factors, as well as their total cost of ownership. 
  • Develop a clear understanding of all underlying factors effecting quality, delivery, cost and flexibility whether or not within the supplier’s control.


  • Establish an operating philosophy consistent with corporate Procurement philosophies. 
  • Create an environment that fosters effective approaches to problem resolution. 
  • Effectively bring new suppliers on-board minimizing effect to field operations.


  • A minimum of 5 years Commodity Management experience or close equivalent. 
  • A BA/BS degree


  • A passion for (and demonstrated ability in) minimizing costs. 
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
  • The ability to lead cross functional commodity teams. 
  • Ability to evaluate vendors processes and determine factors which affect prices. 
  • A demonstrated ability to develop processes and procedures that standardize best-in-class supply chain practices; familiarity with e-Sourcing and e-Procurement tools is required. 
  • Thorough understanding of Purchasing’s impact on corporate profitability. 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Enthusiasm and tenacity, with fast-learning skills and the ability to be organized and effective in a fast-paced, startup environment. 
  • Effective communication and persuasion skills. 
  • Ability to gather and analyze data related to suppliers cost structure and use it in negotiations.

  • Proven success in meeting goals and objectives. 
  • Ability to analyze and use financial information.
