Key Qualifications

 •  Bachelors or Masters in Safety tests , Science, Physics, EE  or equivalent.

•  At least 5 years of related work experience in Safety Tests or Power Space . 

•  Must have experience with Safety tests of information Technology Products or Power Supplies. Knowledge of UL related safety tests for class 1 and 2 products is important. 

•  Must be analytical and able to trace safety failure mechanisms and provide suggestions / solutions during product design / launch. 

•  Must know the Dielectric Strength and High Voltage Test metrology and the related Test Measurement systems.

•  Must have good coding skill in C/C++, so to design and develop of Test/Measurement systems. 

•  Good fundamental knowledge and problem solving skill in engineering is a must.

•  Statistical analysis on data is expected.

•  Must be able to work independently and provide full supervision and guidance of vendors and their work. 

•  Must be able to deep dive into system problems and diagnose hardware / software problems with various methods and provide solutions for vendors to implement. 

•  Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

•  Ability to work well in a collaborative, highly cross-functional and fast pace environment.

•  Willingness to travel up to 50% for the first year, and ~30% after. Travel includes South / central America, United States, Europe and China . 



 Candidate must be familiar with UL related safety tests for information technology products and  AC/DC power supplies.  Able to code in C/C++.

 The job responsibilities of this individual engineer will include design, develop and deploy the measurement/Test systems at both module and product level:


- Define the appropriate methodologies in the measurement/Test.

- Design precise system architecture and platforms which take the environmental considerations into account.

- Develop repeatable and reproducible instrumentation that meets product’s requirements.

- Collaborate with different teams to create, define and document any measurement/Test metrics and specifications. 

- Drive various vendors to deliver the measurement/Test system to meet the tight deadlines for   the builds

- Independently verify hardware and software to ensure it is according to the design criteria 

- Communicates and present to management in term of strategies, data and status.
