Job Description


• Ability to review schematics and PCB layouts with CAD tools such as OrCAD and Allegro. 
• Based on Voice of Customer and Market Requirement, develop engineering system specifications, system component specifications, system and component test plans 
• Identify and evaluate emerging display technologies. 
• Ability to use lab equipment for trouble shooting and failure analysis (power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, current probes, video pattern generators, photometers) 
• Collaboration with industrial designers, mechanical engineers, hardware engineers and software engineers on project issues, specification design and implementation of the product to market (EVT, DVT, and PVT) 
• Failure analysis, determining corrective actions and solutions for complex electrical systems and embedded firmware. 
• Define and perform the necessary tests, and review test results from display vendors, system OEMs, and cross-functional groups to ensure the performance specifications are met. 
• Identify all open engineering issues and drive them to closure in a timely matter to support project needs. 
• Ensure all documentation and deliverable's for projects are met. 
• Manage new product introduction and scale up to high volume manufacturing. 
• Assessing and controlling risk (risk management) 
• Support customers and sales in new and existing products.

Ideal Background:

• Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals (analog/digital design, signal/power integrity, etc.) 
• Experience in graphics/display systems (e.g., graphics cards, video scaler ICs, or LCD monitors) 
• Understanding of color science, photometry, LCD technologies, and next-generation display technologies 
• Familiar with x86 testing and benchmarking software suites 
• Familiar with x86 Architecture (Intel, AMD…etc.) from chip selection to design implementation. 
• Experience in systems testing, including environmental, reliability, safety, and EMC.

Education and qualifications:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent 
• 3-5+ years relevant industry experiment designing monitor and computer hardware

Specific Professional Skills/Competencies:

• Strong presentation skills, including presenting new technology and getting management attention to deliver these products to market 
• Strong ability to innovate and look beyond the basic product requirements 
• Knowledge of hardware and software development and test procedures. 
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills required
