Epic Community Connect Interoperability and HIM Analyst will be responsible for the analysis, design, configuration, testing, implementation and support of HL7 integration solutions in a large hospital setting with focus for Community Connect affiliates.  

Analyst will also be responsible for HIM-Release of Information implementation and support. Analyst must have knowledge of the Epic Bridges, HIM ROI and Identity modules.  

Analyst needs to have strong experience with the operations and workflows of ambulatory practices in terms of integration with third party systems and HIM.  

Analyst will be expected to work closely with an integrated ambulatory application team that is responsible for the end to end Epic enabled operations of physician practices.  

Analyst will need to work with clinical, operational leaders of physician practices as well as Information Services leaders.  

The analyst is expected to have in-depth Epic knowledge and build expertise to be able to work with physician practices to translate workflows to Epic functionality, identify workflow gaps, and provide mutually agreeable solutions to close the gaps. 

The analyst will also be responsible for coordinating interoperability project efforts involving the use of CorePoint as the integration engine, OnBase for HIM, sFTP for file transfer with external vendors.  

The analyst must have strong documentation and communication skills, both written and verbal. In addition, the analyst needs to possess a positive attitude and strong aptitude for customer service, team work, and process improvement. 


  • Bachelor's degree in health care information technology, computer science, or related area, and / or equivalent combination of experience / training.  
  • Five (5) or more years of relevant experience.  
  • Incumbent must obtain certification in primary EMR module(s) within 4 months of initial hire.  
  • Incumbent must maintain current certification for primary EMR module(s) as a condition of employment.  
  • Experience and proven success in information systems implementation, development and support within a large-scale healthcare organization. 


  • Epic Bridges certification and at least one of the Epic HIM certifications (ROI or Identity).  
  • Demonstrated experience as a major participant in a clinical system implementation. 


  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.  
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
