Job Description

Under the direction of an Application Manager, the Application Analyst performs troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of existing software applications. They design, build, test, and support new applications and modules within their portfolio and/or service line. The Analyst must achieve in-depth knowledge of the software application and operational workflows, as well as understand the policies, procedures and constraints of the clinical or business operation supported by the application. The Analyst works with business owners, vendors, and ISS team members to evaluate and recommend solutions to complex problems and requests. 
Applications Supported: Ambulatory, Cadence, Billing, and Reporting 

  • Working under the direction of the Application Manager, the Application Analyst (AA) functions as the primary build architect to configure, design & implement build requests related to clinic implementation, optimization, and steady-state support 
  • Perform in-depth and precise investigation and documentation of outpatient clinical and operational workflows to implement enterprise-wide and specialty-level optimization requests, implement clinic go-lives, and provide post go-live support 
  • Achieve and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the software application with an emphasis on EpicCare Ambulatory, Cadence, Billing, and Reporting, as well as, understand the policies, procedures and constraints of the clinical or business operation supported by the application 
  • Develops and documents internal procedures, collects information and prepares specifications of system enhancements, analyzes functionality in new releases and tests each new release 
  • Assists in the development of user training aids and may train end users in workflow and use of the application 
  • Function as the primary contact to troubleshoot problems and questions from end-users during training, go-live and stabilization periods 
  • Achieves in-depth knowledge of the software application 
  • Works within established change control procedures for the system build 
  • Facilitate user adoption across teams and throughout the organization 
  • Assist in training, trouble shooting, and supporting end-users 
  • Complete assigned project deliverables accurately and on 
  • B.A. / B.S. degree or at least four years of experience 
  • EpicCare Ambulatory certification (Preferred) 
  • Knowledge in and/or Certified in Kaleidoscope, Healthy Planet, Cadence applications (Preferred) 
  • Knowledge in and/or Certified in Reporting applications (Preferred) 
  • Knowledge of current issues in the healthcare environment preferred 
  • Prior experience with IT systems and systems development projects 
  • Initiative and ability to work independently while thriving in a setting requiring collaboration and teamwork
