As a member of this team, you will be joining our efforts to embrace these principles and design the future of client autonomous mobility. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Studio Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a key role in shaping the future of client autonomous vehicle design.

As a Studio Engineer, you will be responsible for collaborating with our design and engineering teams to transform creative concepts into functional designs and production-ready vehicles. You will be an integral part of the design process, ensuring that our vehicles not only look stunning but also meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and functionality.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensure delivery of Industrial Design intent surface data that also meets all applicable requirements for each release point.
- Work with all stakeholders to generate balanced Engineering Criteria ensuring each delivery point is met

- Monitor surface vs criteria development, providing alternative solutions when necessary to support the Styling intent
- Represent Design in applicable Engineering meetings and reviews, generating and presenting any necessary documentation.

- Organization of Studio engineering meetings to lead all aspects of styling, technical convergence

- Maintain applicable surface development process tracking documentation and criteria structure in 3DX
- Check and Release criteria compliant Industrial Design surface according to the program schedule.
- Responsible for ID surface compliant status of assigned parts at specific program gates

- Facilitate Bucks, mock-ups, armatures, and rapid prototype parts to support the Internal Design process.

 

 QUALIFICATIONS 

- Bachelor of Science Technical Degree (4 Year Degree)

- 5 years studio experience with min 8 years’ experience in a related area of work

- Understanding of engineering theory and principles of automotive design

- Proficient oral and written communication skills, Skilled in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

- Demonstrated ability to work independently, and effectively with others

- General interest and ability to integrate complex systems

- Familiarity with general automotive manufacturing processes

- Demonstrated skills in CATIA (V6 preferred)
