Position Summary This role will lead the development of new features and services for the our company Smart TV Platform. Our company is introducing a new strategy of designing screens that better fit into user’s lifestyle and homes. Starting in 2017 with, The Frame, which will act as both a TV and digital canvas, allowing users to display high quality art and photography in their homes. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end software experience. 
 
Responsibilities include full product life cycle management: initial ideation, design, specification, development, regular analytics review, product iteration, and ongoing operations and maintenance. Your experience with user-centered design, web service development, and analysis of usage patterns of interactive media products enable you to conceptualize good features, work with design to ensure the user is priority one, and collaborate with engineering to implement an efficient, scalable architecture that can be executed on a reasonable timeline. A well-qualified candidate will have experience working with 3rd parties on content integrations, co-development, and data licensing.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior management and the Head of Product to develop new product and feature ideas; refine and enhance existing features; and prioritize features for development according to business priorities
  •  Communicate product mission and vision across the organization, collaborate with the user design team and research teams to develop detailed product and business plans
  • Create PRDs and manage backlog for several agile teams
  • Collaborate with Engineering to develop architecture and specific development tasks ? Manage priorities and scope against available resources and schedule  
  •  Coordinate with marketing team to understand opportunities to drive product awareness and adoption ? Develop product support documentation in conjunction with Customer Support
  •  Drive product operations to support The Frame store
  •  Collaborate with other software teams to get help with internal dependencies
  •  Deep immersion in product analytics data in order to understand strengths and weaknesses of product and make recommendations for iteration
  •  Work with 3rd parties on various types of collaboration and service integration 

 
Background/Experience:

  •  Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred ? 3+ years of product management experience, with experience across the full product management life cycle
  • Extensive work with user-centered design processes, using data, analytics, and research to drive product insights and feature development
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Global & cross functional working experience
  • Experience working with (or a deep appreciation of) fine art
  • Seeking specific experience with any one of the following disciplines: o Television applications and user experience development o Server/backend architecture o Ecommerce / store operations
