Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes, equipment, and plants (from pilot to fully operational) to achieve the production goals of the organization.

  • Identifies and develops process and equipment needed to produce specific products, parts, and components

  • Guides and assist Company’s business development in RFQ responses regarding new technologies, equipment, and test strategies.

  • Oversees department personnel involved in DOE, testing and /or experimentation work.

  • Leads and or/supports technology training, transfer of best practices, and integration into Company’s facilities as required.


  • Shall be able to establish functional and technical specifications and standards, solve hardware/software interface problems, define input/output parameters, and ensure integration of the entire system or subsystem.

  • Defines objectives of DOE, Process Capability analysis, C&R, Gage R&R studies, and other tools for corporate strategic projects.

  • Provides technical input to help identify and solve project risks that may affect overall project plans and schedules.

  • Leading from a strong experience base, the development and utilization of processes for design.

  • Stays abreast of the latest technology and techniques to provide designs that are competitive, cutting edge and cost effective.


  • Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, in Mechanical Engineering/Masters Preferred

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with developing customized and automated manufacturing equipment

  • 7+ years in medical device industry

  • 7+ years in 3D Printing

  • 5+ years in Six-Sigma (Greenbelt)

  • 5+ years in CAD/Modeling
