Minimum 5 years experience in all of the following:

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

Perform Black-box & Ad-Hoc testing per Verification & Validation (V&V) Protocols.

Ability to verify, log, archive, and analyzing test data & results.

Report/update/correct V&V Protocols.

Design, document, and execute Test Plans & Protocols.

Identify, investigate, report, and work with team to resolve open issues.

Interact with team to understand system, data, failure effects, etc.

Excellent communication skills and strong willingness to learn required.

Proficient in the qualification, prioritization, and assessment of risk (likelihood and severity) of issues within an issue tracking system.

Secondary Responsibilities and Duties:

Contribute to weekly Software Change Control Board (SCCB) meetings and able to type at a minimum 30WPM.

Ability to develop use cases.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize among competing commitments and tasks.

Attend/provide input to weekly test/development team meetings.

Support process improvement i.e., configuration management and defect/issue tracking.

 

Experience, Education, Training, Skills, Traits:

Proven experience in a formal product development environment as a test engineer. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with proven track record to write clear, concise documentation.

Minimum 2 years in a highly regulated industry with design control experience (medical device industry preferred).

Demonstrated ability to trace requirements from product level, through design, through code, to produce clear, unambiguous and objective test results that illustrate requirements have been satisfied.

Experience in Windows 7, XP, XP Embedded (XPE) environment desirable.

Experience working within a high-energy multidiscipline focused engineering team.

Language and Verbal Skills:

Individual must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Must have clear, confident oral presentation skills.

Math Skills:

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Analytical and Reading Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, interpret and assist in the creation and refinement of company procedures. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and report on findings.
