JOB TITLE: Sr. Financial Analyst I

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for driving the processes that assist leaders in making strategic and operational fact-based decisions, by delivering timely, accurate and relevant financial information.  Primary responsibility for this position entails supporting the company's Prime group, an internal company's Software Business, through monthly close process and reporting, process improvements, forecasting and budgeting. In addition, the role will also be responsible in supporting various Corporate FP&A functions with projects such as monthly reporting and analysis, long term strategic modeling, annual budget, and global consolidation.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Create solid business partnership with company's Prime, a fast evolving business, to provide month end close reporting (variance reporting, accruals, etc.), streamline forecast/budget models, process improvement, and provide financial guidance to help with various business decisions (i.e. new reporting/business structures, CAPEX projects, etc.)
  • Influence the accuracy and effectiveness of the Actuals and Forecast/ Budget processes through analytical review and trend analysis
  • Provide support to Corporate FP&A with projects such as long term strategic modeling, annual budget, global consolidations and various ad-hoc analysis
  • Publish key monthly corporate reporting such as World Wide Sales Report
  • Develop and support standardized reporting packages to effectively communicate relevant information
  • Lead controls and processes and make recommendations to improve efficiencies for teams within EyeCare Prime (i.e. selling team, marketing team, IT team, etc.)
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis and preparation of presentations to Senior Management

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Solid OPEX reporting experience (full P&L experience is a plus)
  • Understand Financial budgeting and modeling
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills/modeling
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a changing environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills collaborating effectively with all levels
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to navigate through different financial systems (i.e. Hyperion Essbase, Business Objects, Crystal Report, etc.)
  • Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Work well in team environment

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is required, MBA is a plus

EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years’ experience (preferably in FP&A role)
