We are in search of a Production Supervisor. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor will perform daily operational supervision of production floor personnel and supports continuous improvement plans throughout the facility. The Production Supervisor will coordinate with CAM programmers, materials and the tool room to drive on-time delivery of the production schedule.

***PLEASE NOTE: HOURS ARE Monday through Friday - 1 role - 5:30am to 2:30pm AND  2role - 2:30PM to 10:30pm
Flexible about hours as well.

Target rate - 80k - 120k

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Supervise production personnel
    • Lead shift GO meetings and pass down to other shifts as required
    • Coordinate daily production activities with CAM programmers and tool room to drive on-time delivery and quality
    • Perform audits as requirement (safety, gemba, quality, 5s+1, etc.)
    • Provide technical guidance as required or as applicable. Print reading and CNC experience a plus
    • Reassign work personnel to support production and cover absences
    • Review progress against key performance indicators (KPI's) within work centers
    • Work as a Kaizen leader to achieve continuous improvement goals
    • Correct findings resulting from audits
    • Implement corrective/preventative action measures
    • Work with Production Manager to establish production schedule
    • Work with Planning/Production Manager to schedule and carry out preventive maintenance services on plant equipment
    • Work with production personnel (CNC Operators and Prototype Machinists) to develop and update standard work as necessary in order to document improvements in production methods or process changes
    • Review labor charges for jobs and takes corrective actions as required
    • Operate ERP system and required reports to management
    • Manage and ensure the correct tracking of time of jobs by production personnel
    • Manage time and attendance and associated activities such as using time and attendance software

 

QUALIFICATIONS

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Working knowledge of ERPs and Google Suite
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • High level of organizational skills
    • 2+ of years of experience working in CNC industry
    • 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role
    • Production scheduling experience a plus
