As the Principal Embedded Systems Engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing firmware that will be implemented across the company's expanding product line. You will work with a cross functional engineering team to deliver code for consumer products, testing devices, and computer apps. The Principal Embedded Systems Engineer is the domain expert in embedded systems with responsibility for following the latest trends in embedded technology, feeding concepts into the product development pipeline, and working closely with electrical engineering personnel to develop system architectures for consumer products.

Minimum 7+ years' experience in a firmware engineering role • In depth knowledge of several 8/16/32 bit microcontroller families • Experience implementing industry standard wireless communication solutions • Experience developing USB connected computer peripherals • Fluency in C, C++, and/or C# • Microcontroller based embedded system design experience including PIC MCU’s and ARM processors • Familiarity with some high level PC application development in any language i.e. C++,VB,C#, Objective C, or Java • Experience with debugging tools such as in-circuit debuggers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers • Must possess demonstrated ability to provide accurate work estimates and keep a project on schedule • Must be able to design, write, and document software, as well as assess code-quality and appropriateness and participate in code reviews • Understanding of electrical engineering design fundamentals Additional skills: • Real-time control algorithm development • Experience developing with Bluetooth Low Energy is a plus • Experience in ultra-low-power embedded system design and development • iOS or Android development experience is a plus our company offers a competitive benefits package, which includes - Matching 401k, 14 paid holidays, generous vacation plan, medical, dental, and life insurance.
