We are looking for a strong mechanical engineer to help execute on its growing order backlog and ramp to volume of the MRIdian Linac system. The successful candidate will be passionate about building state of the art designs and manufacturing processes and share our excitement in our ground breaking products for MRI guided Radiation Therapy.


Primary Responsibilities:

* Proposes, designs and implements engineering initiatives ranging in scope from design or re-design of whole subsystems in next generation products to incremental manufacturing improvements to improve product reliability and cost structure.

* Acts in leadership role inside and outside, organizing tasks and aligning others to accomplish design release and ramp.

* Testing and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems, defect resolution and corrective action.

* Management and engineering support for the global contract manufacturers for products, including implementation of change orders, deviation requests, non-conformance issues etc

* Drives constant improvement in design and process engineering documentation for products.



Desired Skills and Experience:

* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Master’s degree preferred.

* Strong CAD and FEA skills, Solidworks preferred. Knowledge of PLM systems like PTC Windchill is desirable.

* 8+ years experience in mechanical engineering of formally released products with strong preference for large capital equipment such as medical devices, semi-conductor, instrumentation etc.

* Experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, casting, pcb manufacture, electromechanical final assembly and functional test.

* Expert level understanding of BOM structuring, engineering process, and engineering best practices

* Experience in reliability engineering and design for manufacturing and serviceability

* Working level competence in a rigorous implementation of ISO 9001, with ISO 13485 preferred.

* Excellent communication and program management skills.

* Possess dynamic, proactive, ambitious, “can do” attitude, strength of character, tenacity and credibility and able to create and respect strong working relationships with all levels of the organization.

* Previous interest or experience in relevant methodologies such as Radiation Therapy and MRI is useful but not essential.
