Marketing Position (Marketing Manager or  Sr. Marketing Manager, ) - Title open and negotiable dependent on experience level and incentive to join
Currently an individual contributor role with room for career growth
First 6 months very tactical since the company needs to ramp their marketing efforts. After that the position will move to a mix of strategic/tactical role. The role will provide you with the opportunity to define and build operational processes to help scale the marketing efforts to support the growth. 

This is a new Marketing Manager/ Sr. Marketing Manager full-time position. They need someone who will execute tactically for first 6 months through 2015 (with some strategic insight), and then someone (could be same person) to initiate new strategic marketing initiatives starting 2016 and build up and lead the marketing team. The role is very hands-on with executing on marketing programs since this will be the sole marketing person on the team, in the first 6 months. 

First 6 months marketing focused on 4 marketing program initiatives. Goal for all programs is to drive demand generation for app developers to download SDK (A software development kit (SDK or "devkit") is typically a set of software development tools that allows the creation of applications for a certain software package, software framework, hardware platform, computer system, video game console, operating system, or similar development platform.
  1. Google AdWords Campaign  - Drive and manage current Google AdWords program. Target audience is app developers. Goal is to drive developers to download SDK.
  2. Hackathon Events - Manage third party vendor Challenge Posts  July 15 - Online hackathon. Hackathon goal is to get message out to developers to download SDK. Cash prize is incentive. October is deadline submission. Promote event via social media and press.
  3. Mobile Conference - Manage exhibit logistics related to shows such as write press release, coordinate speaking engagements, manage media relationship and exposure, promote event via social media, and drive demand generation for developers to download the SDK. Up-coming is show July 13. 
  4. Email Campaign - Manage campaign process full-cycle: content, planning, calendaring, analysis, and presenting results. Experience with MailChimp a plus.

  • Solid analytical skills, ability to interpret data and provide recommendations for optimizing marketing campaigns
  • Passionate about mobile apps and location-based services
