Key Responsibilities:

• Read mechanical drawings to ensure parts and assemblies are within spec.
• Read electrical schematics to verify wiring and components are correctly installed.
• Using understanding of components, determine when corrections (redlines) to mechanical and electrical documents need to be made.
• Facilitate and power-up tools in a safe manner.
• Carry out software installation, mechanical alignment, calibration, and testing to bring tools to operation, meeting specification.
• Create documentation and procedures to capture fine details of tool bring-up.
• Inspect tools to ensure proper build quality.
• Communicate with project managers to share progress and highlight issues!
• Travel to customer sites to assist with installation and field service.

Qualifications

• Have (or working towards) a BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software)
• Experience in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
• Experience in PLC programming software (TwinCAT, GXWorks)
• Ability to use hand tools and testing equipment in a manufacturing environment (wrenches, drills, levels, multimeters, etc.)
• Ability to understand technical documentation such as user manuals and datasheets.
• Basic understanding of industrial tools and their functionality
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Availability to travel to support customers (domestic and international)
• Excellent communication, organization, and information conveying skills.
• Motivation to learn from and assist the team.

We are seeking an individual to join our Technical Lead team. The main objectives of a Technical Lead are to support the power-up, alignment, calibration, and testing of industrial tooling for customers in a variety of sectors. This team is highly dynamic – Technical Leads typically get involved in 5+ projects each year, collaborating with technicians and engineers. Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and software systems of tools help build up experience and present the opportunity for specialization.
