Responsibilities:

• Manage a global team responsible for developing and maintaining a world-wide demand (sales) forecast 
• Develop and execute the overall demand planning strategy. Enable the successful execution by ensuring robust processes are in place for an accurate statistical forecast with effective commercial intelligence inclusion. 
• Coach team in the use of Demand Solutions and serve as a forecasting expert. Ensure data integrity, identify unusual occurrences, seek explanations and develop corrections to prevent reoccurrences 
• Support S&OP meetings and consolidated business plans by providing visibility and communication on sales, demand, distribution & capacity, as well as, supply/market trends through comprehensive standardized reporting. Develop/enhance performance against plans reporting mechanisms. 
• Utilize CTO (Configure to Order) models to plan supply flexibility to maximize ability to respond to changing market demand. 
• Monitor trends impacting demand forecast accuracy. Develop and implement corrective action plans in response to significant variances to plan. 
• Manage development and integration projects related to Business Operations in forecasting, demand planning & order commit process using advanced supply chain tools. 
• Analyze, maintain, and report available to promise, on time delivery, and constrained backlog data. 
• Management of inventory targets and excess and obsolete (E&O) with Product Management to optimize revenue. 
• Regional conduit between Customer Service/Sales and supply chain for order fulfillment.

Ideal Background:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant supply, purchasing, demand planning, or other statistical analysis roles. 
• Preferred experience in globally sourced and distributed products. 
• Experience with SAP business systems. 
• Experience with Demand Solutions or similar statistical forecasting software and a working understanding of statistical modelling. 
• Experience leading and managing decentralized teams - either direct reports or project-based teams.


Education and qualifications:

• BS/BA required 
• Studies in supply chain management, statics, or mathematics preferred

• Ability to effectively lead and coach global teams in a fast-paced environment 
• Strong planning background 
• Strong statistical background 
• Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite 
• Expert level MS Excel/Access capability/data analysis 
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions, including with Commercial Leadership to present analyses, challenge thinking, and influence outcomes 
• Strong coaching/ mentoring skills 
• Familiarity with process analysis methodologies 
• Highly organized and able to work independently 
• Ability to define, develop, communicate and implement continuous improvement processes 
• Strong communication both written and oral
