Our team is working to ensure that our clients' hardware and software are safe for operation in the real world through the use of simulation. As part of this process, the team is responsible for designing and running large numbers of simulations to generate key autonomy metrics that help to ensure Zoox’s hardware and software operate as expected.

In this role, you will help us scale to meet future milestones by building web apps.  We are looking for someone who ideally has experience in both backend and frontend environments.  Since this role will support three closely related teams, you will get the opportunity to work in a number of code bases and languages.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate for this role will have a range of skills, including being a strong developer, a logical prioritizer, and an effective communicator.  

• Two of the teams you will be working with have existing web apps that need additional features and functionality.  You will be working on both the frontend and backend systems.  Team members will help build out more complex backend APIs for your use in specific areas.
• One of the teams has no existing website and you will work to help build up their codebase from scratch.
• This role will entail performing database calls to query data, formatting the data into the appropriate format to be passed to the front end and then consuming that data and displaying it in tables, graphs and other formats on the corresponding web apps.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Python
• Fluency in React or similar frontend language.  
• Bachelor’s in computer science, applied mathematics, engineering, or other quantitative area or significant on-the-job experience
• 4+ years of industry experience in frontend, backend or full stack roles
• Collaborative team player with strong written and in-person communication skills

Bonys Qualifications

• Experience working with Flask
• Experience with PostgreSQL and database query interfaces such as SQLAlchemy ORM
• Knowledge of Javascript, CSS, Bootstrap, Google MUI or similar packages.
