Position Description:

The Embedded Software Engineer will develop exciting new products in the area of communications. Responsibilities include taking ownership of key software modules in various embedded systems, written in C on a handful of different of target microcontrollers for separate components of the system. Experience with communication busses, audio processing, and power saving methods is a plus. The candidate is expected to work well independently and be able to support new requirements for prototype devices as part of the R&D team. Communication ability is critical to interface with electrical, mechanical, and other software engineers in a collaborative environment.

  • Identify system requirements and work to develop firmware applications within constraints of small, low-power, embedded mixed signal, multiprocessor systems.

  • Ability to equally function and excel, operating in both hardware and firmware domains.

  • Develop new core technologies for real-time low-power centric audio, control, DFU, and communications applications.

  • Extensive experience developing low-level control structures and state machines, and development in C and assembly.

  • Write specification, design documentation, and test protocols.

  • Identify key challenges in projects; accelerate design and verification of implementation.

  • Collaborate with system designers on implementation and integration with device framework and radio protocol stacks.
