SUMMARY:

We are recruiting a Senior Digital Designer to play a central role in our Advanced Signal Generation System.  Because of the high demands existing in the EW market, our equipment combines state-of-the-art RF performance with sophisticated hardware and software control.  Since the digital aspects of the design are at the heart of product functionality, the ideal candidate will have a solid background in Digital and Analog Hardware Design and enjoys learning about and contributing to the other pieces of the larger system.  Experience with FPGA code development is a plus. The company offers Test & Measurement equipment primarily for the EW market.

 

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in High-Speed Digital Circuit andAnalog Circuit Design. This entails circuit design, simulation, schematics, managingPCB layout, initial prototype builds, testing, and documentation for manufacturing. Required circuit design skills include:
    • Design with FPGAs - Xilinx Virtex 6 and later.
    • Memory DDR3&4, QDRII SRAM
    • DACs and ADCs with clock rates of greater than 2 GHz.
    • Analog design for ADCs DACs, filters, amplifiers, and support circuitry.
    • High-Speed buses: PCIe Revs 2&3, GB Ethernet
    • Circuit design and PCB design experience, including high-speed signal integrity issues.
  • Experience withFPGA code design and development,Verilog andVHDL is a plus, desired skill set includes:
    • XILINX VIRTEX FPGAs
    • ISE and EDK development tools
    • Chip-Scope for debugging
    • Micro-Blaze soft-core processors
  • Good general knowledge of design and debug for digital busses (from simple I2C and SPI to more complex busses like PCIe)
  • Excellent debugging skills (requires general knowledge of software and RF design principles) including significant bench experience
  • Good communication skills
