Responsibilities 

Deliver solutions for accurate and reliable control of the Radiotherapy Control System
Identify opportunities to improve the architecture of the control system
Participate in both system level and unit level requirement definition
Document solutions in accordance with the QS requirements
Develop and maintain software necessary for control of the ystem
Define and document external interfaces for the control system
Work in a team environment with other engineers and scientists for integration of control system solution with the other parts of the ViewRay system
Work on development projects involving 3rd party suppliers of hardware and software.
Perform unit-level testing and participate in system wide integration and testing with other hardware and software subsystems
Provide support as necessary to other engineers and departments
Limited amount of travel may be required (about 10%)
Qualifications

BS or higher in Electrical, Software, Computers or Mechanical Engineering, with background in programming of hardware systems.
Experience developing and programming of control systems for complex hardware systems
Experience in programming real-time motion control systems highly desirable.
Experience of VxWorks or other real-time operating systems
Programming experience in C/C++ required; C# is highly desirable
Experience with National Instruments Labview, Matlab and other simulation tools desirable
Ability to write documents that describe requirements, specifications, design, and test specifications.
Experience with MRI and/or radio-therapy applications desirable
Familiarity with medical device hazard analysis and design of mitigations for risk highly desirable
Ability to multi-task in a fast moving environment
