As aCNC Operator, you will be working with the Production team to produce Plethora’s custom and prototype part offerings. This will include fixture design and setup,CNC machine operation and other manufacturing operations.

 

Job Responsibilities:

    • Setup and operate CNC vertical milling machines and CNC lathes 
    • Arrange, mount and set tooling and cycle machine through operation sequences to ensure programmed specifications and tolerances are achieved
    • Program for machining requirements
    • Maintain tooling
    • Perform in process inspection using measuring equipment
    • Perform required drilling, boring, turning and milling operations
    • Perform functions in a timely, safe and cost effective manner
    • Ensure work area is kept clean and safe
    • Notes, reports, and corrects variations in program sequence, positioning, cycle time, etc.
    • Perform preventative maintenance on CNC machining
    • Perform daily weekly and monthly machine maintenance

 

Skill Set Required to be Successful:

    • Rigorous attention to detail and pride in doing precise work
    • Outstanding mechanical aptitude and spatial reasoning
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, run experiments and draw valid conclusions
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Must have a basic working knowledge of materials (metals, plastics) and fundamental concepts of mechanics (stress, strain, etc.)
    • Willingness to work outside your comfort zone, in a fast paced non-traditional manufacturing environment
    • Assembly experience and working knowledge of basic fasteners and hand tools
