  • Setup and run glass processing equipment. This includes cutting and grinding glass for touch panels.

  • Test processes to enhance and ensure the reliability and quality of new and existing products.

  • Analyzes failures and makes recommendations to improve product reliability and quality, and quality assurance processes, practices and procedures.

  • Work independently and within engineering practices to maintain, modify, and enhance existing quality methods & processes.

  • Focus on developing processes, evaluating and addressing root causes of quality, throughput, and scrap issues, and designing work holding and tooling.

  • Take ownership of projects or tasks from other engineering resources to enable them to focus their attention on process development.

  • Must follow company Environmental, Health & Safety policies, procedures and regulatory requirements

Ideal Background:

  • Must have prior CNC machine. Practice making good technical decisions and completes tasks & assignments under only general direction.

  • Recognize problems that need further investigation, seek assistance when needed, demonstrates initiative and self-motivation.

  • Independently determine and develop approach to solutions, under only very general direction.

  • Provide solutions for wide range of difficult problems.

  • Provide tests and diagnostic tools to be used in product engineering, manufacturing, returned material repair and supplier quality. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-functionally and cross-culturally.

  • Able to work independently and to be proactive to identity problem areas.

  • Aptitude and desire to learn new products and technologies.

  • Must be self-motivated, and able to produce measurable results.

  • Ability to multitask by handling diverse assignments concurrently.


  • High School Diploma with minimum 2 years of related experience in anufacturing environment.

  • AA degree in related discipline or equivalent is preferred.

Specific Professional Skills/Competencies: 

  • CNC programming and process development, CAM for multi-axis equipment. Experience in Cutting Tool Design and Jig & Fixture Design for Production equipment is preferred.

  • Must be able to work from drawing, schematics, templates, tools, blueprints, and engineering documents.

  • Focus on working safely and supplying processes and data to support an injury-free environment.

  • Follow safety rules and demonstrate leadership in establishing and following corporate policies.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Working knowledge of solder equipment and processes.

  • Ability to set up and run manufacturing printing equipment

  • Working knowledge of handling and preparing organic and inorganic materials for use in manufacturing processes.

  • Knowledge of design, development and test engineering, manufacturing processes, and assembly operations.

  • Must be versatile and able to adjust to the fast pace environment of the R&D Engineering department.

  • Demonstrated ability to implement 5S methodology and implement continuous improvement at all levels of manufacturing operations.

  • Experienced in Six Sigma and Lean Principles and knowledge of statistical analysis software such as Minitab.

Physical Demands:

Need to have good hand-eye co-ordination. Some work situations also require them to be agile and to lift objects on a daily basis which may weigh approximately 20 pounds.
