Experienced Electronics Engineer to provide technical expertise and project planning support to develop new product lines and to support existing group product lines with design engineering related and program engineering related functions.

This position requires experience interacting with customers and working in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in and conduct activities associated with new product development as it pertains to design, documentation, engineering analysis, product design, drawing preparation,  as well as support of business development (marketing) activities. 
  • Provide leadership in and conduct activities associated with support of existing product manufacturing efforts as it pertains to design, documentation, and general support of inspection processes, manufacturing processes and test processes and cost reduction activities to include engineering analysis, product design, drawing preparation, cost estimation, and product planning. 
  • Provide technical support and guidance (mentoring) to junior engineers, to include review and critique of design documentation, development plans, test plans, and test results.
  • Provide leadership of failure investigation activities through application of rigorous root cause analysis.
  • Provide project design support of Internal Research and Development (IRAD) activities, as well as providing engineering leadership and conducting design engineering tasks related to those activities.
  • Assist in design and development of manufacturing tooling and test equipment.
  • Provide Analog Design and Analysis expertise utilizing Cadence Simulation tools.
  • Prepare reports and presentations related to design and development activities, including technical proposal submittals, test plans and reports.
  • Support kaizen-related process improvement activities.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics Engineering; Advanced degree a plus.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in design-related engineering position.
  • Experience developing and integrating electronic assemblies into product designs preferred.  This includes leveraging the entire value chain from supplier through final factory manufacturing operations. 
  • Experience with DOE, FMEA, PFMEA, Six sigma or similar analysis tools.
  • Experience with government specifications and industry standards related to safety critical electronics.
  • Advanced skill level in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Project and Visio preferred.
  • Advanced skill level in Analog Simulation, preferably with Cadence PSPICE.
  • Strong Analog background with High Power, High Voltage experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply mathematics, science, and technology in product design and complex problem solving
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
